Ball Valves in Great Popularity

Ball valves are making their contributions to the prosperity of the valve industry. Actually, there is a wide range of ball valve, which have been designed and manufactured based on different sizes, shapes, and structures or manufacturing materials and so on. Despite of the difference of specific specifications, all the ball valves are made to control the flow of liquids or gases. The on-and-off of the device determines the in-and-out of the flow.

Attention to the Ball Check Valve

A variety of check valves have been designed and manufactured to meet the generally increased and more specific requirements. Ball check valve, as one main kind of the check valve, has played an important role at allowing the forward flow and preventing the reverse flow. To be specific, it is widely used for flows or liquid or gas in small capacity. And a wide range of the industrial applications, such as fuel systems and water-pumping systems, have been benefited from the employment of the ball check valve.

Three Main Types of the Hydraulic Valve

The development of the valve industry has been proceeding at a quick pace within the past years. Various valves are making contributions to hydraulic systems. Actually, they are generally placed into the hydraulic pipes to take great effects, such as the control of the pressure and flowing fluids or the utilization of the hydraulic power. Based on the different purposes and functions, there are three main types available. They are the pressure, directional and flow control ones.

Replacing Process for the Valve Stem of Tire Valves

Tire valves are usually pressured with air to take effects, which are generally attached in a wheel rim. As a result, these valves do great help for the situations requiring tube-less tires. Just like the other types of the valve, these valves have some basic components, including the valve stem, valve seal and valve seat. If one of these parts in poor condition, the entire equipment would in poor performance, even would fail to work. In fact, gradual air loss through a failed valve stem is common among many tire valves. Thus, it is necessary and wise to inspect for cracking, leaking or deterioration periodically.

A Magnesium Alloy Legend

Many different magnesium compound combinations make up the various magnesium alloys. The combinations are formed using a number of metals from aluminum (the most popular) to calcium and silicon. The names of the alloy combinations are not easy to read. They consist of number and letter combinations that are like Greek to the average person. Fortunately, there is pattern to the coded alloy names. Here’s a quick lesson using the alloy AZ31, looking at it one character at a time.

A

The first letter in the code stands for the major element included in the alloy. The “A” in AZ31 stands for aluminum. The Magnesium Encyclopedia lists the legend for other common letter symbols as follows:
